Palin's Speech

Students,

Palin's speech was well received with my 1st and 5th period American Govt. classes. There was significant objections in other classes. Anyway, tonight is McCain's speech. You are highly encouraged to watch the speech and react. Saturday is the Udall vs. Schaffer debate. It will be held at 7:30 at Two Rivers Plaza. The cost is $10 unless you have signed up with either of the parties. You need to either go to the debate or write a paragraph summary of the event.

Palin is a crazy woman. Anyone who wants to talk to God in schools is really closed minded and selfish. I'm not a fan of her I don't think.

Palin is the most insane woman in the history of the universe. Maybe she should stop trashing her opponent and start working on her own campaign. It's too bad not even people in her native state of Alaska like her.

Alright folks. . . we are in AP. I would appreciate a little bit of maturity here. "Crazy woman" and "insane" just don't cut it for me. Let's make a point to back up our petty whining with legitimate reasoning and evidence.
Moving on. . .

I loved Sarah Palin's speech. I thought it was very well given and definitely well received. She brought up excellent points about her opponent, including the ridiculous seal his highness designed.

I am definitely not for mandated creationism or prayer in schools, but her stand on the other issues is far more imperative to the success of the presidency, and our nation. Palin took a definitive stand on America's need for energy, while Obama switches his views on the issue whenever convenient.

As for the whining about her "mean" speech: it's politics, not the playground.

Not a big McCain fan, I am definitely voting Republican now. Sarah Palin got my support.

I don't have anything personal against Palin. Her personal life is her personal life. But I disagree with her stance on every single issue. And in the end, America is not voting for Sarah Palin or Barack Obama. We are voting for John McCain or Barack Obama. I think everything has gotten a little out of control with her being McCain's pick. I think we need to focus more on the actual candidates. And every candidate switches their views; McCain has switched tons of times. I'm sure Obama has switched his stance a lot too. I've just accepted it as part of politics.

I agree with Hillary. We all change our minds as more information becomes accessible. Ten years ago, who believed in global warming?

...well, that's a bad example since Palin still doesn't believe in global warming lol.

But still.

I like Palin. I like the fact that she is a conservative Christian. I don't know how much I like the fact that she has a big family and a preganant teen daughter to deal with, but I think she will make a great vice president. However, I would like to hear her in an interview. She is good at reading a script, I want to seek her speak her mind without anything to turn to.

so palin just seems a little to token for me. she's a christian republican that's super radical about abortion and science in schools and to me it seems like she pulls in the other radicals that are having problems with mccain being more moderate (to pull swing votes). Not such a fan of Palin because mostly i disagree with her on everything.
